Taipei, Jan. 23 (CNA) The holders of six NT$10 million (US$305,521) and three NT$2 million unclaimed winners from Taiwan's September-October uniform invoice lottery have been urged to collect their cash before the March 5 deadline.
The winning number for the NT$10 million Special Prize in the September-October uniform invoice lottery was 28630525, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement Thursday.
Among the six winning NT$10 million receipts, one was issued for a drink purchase worth NT$54 sold by a Simple Mart supermarket on Yingtao Road in New Taipei's Yingge District.
The five others were for purchases made at convenience stores, supermarkets and restaurants in Taipei, New Taipei, Hualien County and Kaohsiung ranging in price from NT$100 to NT$822, the MOF said.
Of the unclaimed NT$2 million-winning receipts with the number 90028580, the smallest purchase was for food worth NT$33 sold by a PX-Mart supermarket on Zhongshan West Road in Tainan's Liouying District.
The two others were a NT$387 fee for cable TV and a NT$5,043 electricity bill issued by Taiwan Power Co.'s branch office in Yunlin County.
The uniform invoice lottery system, which draws winning numbers every two months, was created to encourage consumers to collect sales receipts as part of the ministry's efforts to prevent tax evasion.
The next draw will be on Saturday for invoices issued between November and December.
