
Taipei, Sept. 7 (CNA) Several flights between Taiwan and Hong Kong and Macau were canceled Sunday and Monday as Tropical Storm Tapah moved through the South China Sea, Taiwan's airlines said.
China Airlines (CAL) canceled flights CI921 from Taoyuan to Hong Kong on Sunday, along with CI922, CI601/602, CI903/904, CI909/910, and CI915/916 on the same route, and CI933/934 between Kaohsiung and Hong Kong.
Tigerair Taiwan said it canceled Sunday's IT321 from Kaohsiung to Macau and IT372 from Macau to Taichung, as well as Monday's IT371 from Taichung to Macau and IT322 from Macau to Kaohsiung.
Starlux Airlines canceled JX205/206 between Taipei and Macau and JX331/332 between Taichung and Macau on Sunday, as well as JX201/202 between Taipei and Macau and JX233/234 between Taipei and Hong Kong on Monday.
Tapah formed late Saturday west of the Philippines and was moving toward Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangdong province, but was not expected to directly affect Taiwan, the Central Weather Administration said.
