Trade Representative at the Executive Yuan's Office of Trade Negotiations and Minister without Portfolio Yang Jen-ni (楊珍妮) told an economic forum on Wednesday that Taiwan could lose out on an extra 1.6 percentage points of GDP growth if the country did not accede to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
