Taipei, Aug. 26 (CNA) The U.S. dollar rose sharply against the Taiwan dollar Tuesday, gaining NT$0.105 to close at the day's high of NT$30.555.
Turnover totaled US$1.239 billion during the trading session.
The greenback opened at the day's low of NT$30.440, and buying accelerated to push up the currency to a high at the end of the session.
