U.S. dollar closes sharply higher on Taipei forex market

Taipei, July 29 (CNA) The U.S. dollar rose sharply against the Taiwan dollar Tuesday, gaining NT$0.183 to close at the day's high of NT$29.706.

Turnover totaled US$1.431 billion during the trading session.

The greenback opened at the day's low of NT$29.570, and momentum increased into the end of the session.
