U.S. dollar closes sharply lower on Taipei forex market

Taipei, April 2 (CNA) The U.S. dollar fell sharply against the Taiwan dollar Wednesday, shedding NT$0.108 to close at NT$33.088.

Turnover totaled US$1.33 billion during the trading session.

The greenback opened at NT$33.230 and moved between NT$33.088 and NT$33.250 before the close.
