Taipei, Oct. 6 (CNA) Taipei's Ketagalan Boulevard will be closed to vehicle traffic between Chongqing South Road and Gongyuan Road from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday to accommodate a light show in front of the Presidential Office.

Access to Huaining Street from Baoqing Road to Guiyang Road will also be restricted during the same hours, Taipei police said Monday.

Also on Tuesday, access to Chongqing South Road between Baoqing Road and Guiyang Street will be closed in both directions from 6:10 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with restrictions on southbound traffic on Hengyang Street and other parts of Chongqing South Road.

Smaller sections of Ketagalan Boulevard and Huaining Street have been closed since Sept. 26 as part of preparations for a National Day event in front of the Presidential Office and will not reopen to vehicles until Saturday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m.

Police reminded commuters to check for any changes to bus timetables and routes resulting from the traffic controls.

The "2025 National Day Presidential Office Building Projection Mapping Show" will take place from Tuesday to Friday on Ketagalan Boulevard in front of the Presidential Office.

The event features more than 80 audiovisual works that together evoke six decades of Golden Bell Awards memories.

The Golden Bell Awards are the Taiwanese equivalent of the Emmy Awards.

The show will run from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day during that period, with one performance every 30 minutes, each lasting about 10 minutes. On Tuesday, however, the first show will begin at 7:30 p.m. due to the lighting ceremony.
