
Taipei, March 28 (CNA) Cool and rainy weather is forecast across northern Taiwan on Friday, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
The CWA said highs of 21-24 degrees Celsius are forecast in northern Taiwan, as well as Yilan and Hualien counties in the east. Highs of 29-33 degrees are expected in other areas.
Temperatures will drop sharply after nightfall, with lows of 15-16 degrees forecast in the north, and 18-21 degrees in other areas of Taiwan proper, it said.
The CWA said northern and eastern windward areas may see brief, localized showers, while sporadic rainfall is also possible in central regions.
Wet weather is expected to continue in parts of the country over the next few days.
Meanwhile, snow is possible in the mountains of central, northern and northeastern Taiwan at elevations above 3,500 meters from Sunday through Monday.
The CWA said seasonal winds will continue to affect Taiwan until April 3.
