Legislature passes bill classifying aides' pay as lawmaker subsidies

Taiwan's Legislature passed a legal amendment late on Friday stipulating that it must annually budget lawmaker subsidies from public funds, including office operating expenses and the salaries and allowances of publicly-funded aides.
