Taipei, July 26 (CNA) Several opposition Kuomintang (KMT) lawmakers have declared that they survived recall attempts against them in Saturday’s mass recall vote, as official results remain incomplete and vote counting continues.

While final tallies are pending from the Central Election Commission, early indications suggest that many recall campaigns targeting the opposition party are falling short.

As of 6 p.m., several KMT legislators have announced that they have survived recall votes against them, including Wang Hung-wei (王鴻薇) Lai Shyh-bao (賴士葆), Lee Yen-hsiu (李彥秀), Fu Kun-chi (傅崐萁), Liao Wei-hsiang (廖偉翔), Huang Chien-hao (黃健豪), Lo Ting-wei (羅廷瑋), Tu Chuan-chi (涂權吉), Chiu Jo-hua (邱若華), Niu Hsu-ting (牛煦庭), Lu Ming-che (魯明哲), Wan Mei-ling (萬美玲) and Lu Yu-ling (呂玉玲).

Civic groups involved in the recall campaigns, meanwhile, declared that the recall vote against KMT legislators Lo Chih-chiang (羅智強) and Huang Chien-pin (黃建賓) had failed to pass.
