The spokesman for China's Taiwan Affairs Office said Wednesday that based on the so-called "1992 Consensus" and China's opposition to Taiwan independence, the two sides of the Taiwan Strait should continue to pioneer new prospects for cross-strait peace following the latest partial reshuffle of Taiwan's government.
