Taipei, Aug. 14 (CNA) The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar Thursday, gaining NT$0.028 to close at the day's high of NT$29.988.
Turnover totaled US$1.178 billion during the trading session.
The greenback opened at NT$29.940, and moved to a low of NT$29.905 before rebounding.
