ASE factory fined for improper disposal of wastewater

Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. (ASE), one of the world's leading providers of semiconductor packing services, was fined Tuesday after its factory in Kaohsiung was found to be discharging toxic wastewater into an irrigation stream.
