Health minister defends easing of safety standards on meat imports

Health Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中) on Monday defended the government's policy to allow imports of U.S. pork containing ractopamine despite concerns over the health risks of the veterinary drug that is banned for use in Taiwan.
