Asustek Fonepad to take on iPad mini in Japan

Taiwan's Asustek Computer Inc. is scheduled to launch its new phone-tablet hybrid device in Japan April 25 in an effort to win back consumer interest in smaller tablet computers such as Apple Inc.'s iPad mini.
