U.S. remains Taiwan banks' top debtor; borrowing hits new high

The United States ranked as the largest debtor country to banks registered in Taiwan as of the end of March for the 23rd consecutive quarter, with the exposure of local banks to the U.S. hitting a new high, according to Taiwan's central bank.
