Univision Production Corp. Joins Forces with NSTC and FTV’s “Science Discovery” to Pioneer a New Era of Science Communication
Since its establishment in 2007, Univision Production Corp. (環影製作公司) has remained committed to delivering high-quality video productions. Through refined visual storytelling and rigorous production standards, the company has consistently provided audiences with in-depth and heartfelt viewing experiences.
As technological advancement accelerate globally, science education and public understanding of science has become increasingly vital. In response to the National Science and Technology Council’s (NSTC) science communication strategy, Univision Production Corp. has devoted substantial company resources to producing a series of high-standard science programs with NSTC guidance and support. These productions have broken away from the rigid stereotypes of traditional science programs and earned multiple Golden Bell Award nominations for their artistic expression and impact.
Modern science education must resonate with contemporary society rather than remain confined to academic theory. Through accessible visual narratives, vivid animations, and expert interviews, Univision Production Corp. transforms complex scientific concepts into engaging, understandable knowledge.
The 13-episode series “Dynamic Technology – Robots (動感科技-機器人)” explores technological breakthroughs and real-world applications of robotics across various fields. Topics range from high-precision automated production lines and minimally invasive surgical arms to intelligent service robots that provide companionship and assistance in daily life.
“The Ongoing Future of 3D Printing (列印未來進行式),” another 13-episode series, examines additive manufacturing technologies revolutionizing traditional production. It showcases the latest applications of 3D printing technologies both domestically and internationally. From the production of highly complex integrated components in the aerospace industry to cutting-edge biomedical attempts to print artificial organs and bones, it details how 3D printing is transforming the logic of human creation through its limitless transition from two-dimensional to three-dimensional possibilities.
Beyond exploring advanced technologies, Univision Production Corp. also demonstrates deep concern for public health and well-being in Taiwan. The six-episode series “The Invisible V World (看不見的 V 世界)” turns its lens toward the microscopic world of microorganisms, offering thoughtful discussions on various diseases caused by viral infections in Taiwan. More than just a science education program about virology, it also aims to enhance public awareness of epidemic prevention and public health literacy.
As one of today’s most transformative technological frontiers, artificial intelligence (AI) has naturally become another major focus for Univision Production Corp. The team produced the six-episode series “My AI Super Teammate (我的AI神隊友)”, which comprehensively analyzes the core driving forces of the digital age. The program explores AI research and its latest applications across multiple industries—from big data analytics and the content creation revolution sparked by generative AI, to intelligent urban traffic management systems. AI is no longer a concept confined to science fiction; it has become a true “super teammate” helping industries transform and upgrade in real-world applications.
Looking back on Univision Production Corp.’s long-standing dedication to science communication, one can clearly see that its core philosophy has always centered on “the dialogue between technology and humanity.” Moving forward, the company will continue to uphold its founding commitment to high-quality productions, keeping pace with global technological developments while uncovering scientific stories that combine local relevance with an international perspective.

“Science Discovery” is sponsored by the National Science and Technology Council and co-produced by Shih Hsin University and Formosa Television (FTV), offering science programming year-round.
