Taipei, July 12 (CNA) Taiwanese athletes added three more medals, two silver and one bronze, in archery and tennis, at the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples Friday.

In the archery competition's compound mixed team final, Chen Chieh-lun (陳界綸) and Chen Yi-hsuan (陳怡瑄) had to settle for silver after losing 18-20 to Lisell Jaatma and Robin Jaatma of Estonia.

In the compound women's team bronze medal match up, Chen Yi-hsuan (陳怡瑄) and Lin Ming-ching (林明靜) edged out the Russian team 154-149 to secure third place.

Chen Yi-hsuan, a seasoned archer, was a member of the Taiwan archery team that clinched the World Championship gold medal in the women's team compound archery event in the Netherlands last month.

In the tennis tournament, Taiwan's Lee Ya-hsuan (李亞軒) and Li Pei-chi (李珮琪) lost to their Chinese opponents in the women's doubles final on Thursday.

The duo took silver after losing 7-6 (8), 2-6, 1-0 (8) to Ye Qiuyu (葉秋語) and Guo Hanyu (郭涵煜).
