Rain partly replenishes reservoirs; central Taiwan still dry

Thundershowers in western Taiwan on Tuesday helped raise the water levels in some reservoirs but did little to boost the water supply in central and southern parts of the country amid a severe drought, the Water Resources Agency (WRA) said Tuesday.
