Envoy voices hope for President Lai to attend new pope's inauguration

Taiwan's former Vice President Chen Chien-jen (陳建仁) expressed hope on Saturday that President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) would be invited to the new pope's inauguration ceremony, after attending the late Pope Francis' funeral as Lai's envoy.
