Ex-DPP chief begins fast to stop work on nuclear plant (update)

Former Democratic Progressive Party Chairman Lin Yi-hsiung began a fast Tuesday to highlight his demand that Taiwan's fourth nuclear power plant be scrapped before it produces its first kilowatt-hour of electricity.
