The Yuanta-Polaris Research Institute, one of Taiwan's leading economic think tanks, said Wednesday it has raised its forecast for Taiwan's gross domestic product (GDP) for 2019 on the back of an increase in private investment at a time when more Taiwanese companies have pledged to invest at home to avoid trade tensions between the United States and China.
