Taipower rebuts accusations of reckless spending

Taiwan's state-run Taiwan Power Co. (Taipower) said Tuesday that its planned additional spending of NT$230 billion (US$7.79 billion) this year is designed to accommodate future power demands, rebutting accusations of reckless spending by opposition lawmakers.
