Hot weather with afternoon thunderstorms forecast to continue this week

The weather will remain stifling hot this week, due to a Pacific high pressure system, with temperatures in northern Taiwan forecast to reach 37 degrees Celsius Sunday, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
