Government considers using chemical castration on sex offenders

Amid heated public debate on a proposal of performing chemical castration on repeated sex offenders, Minister of Justice Tseng Yung-fu said the ministry is studying the effectiveness of such a solution, but he doubts whether the procedure alone can deter sex-related crimes.
