Taipei, April 28 (CNA) Three staff members from the main opposition Kuomintang's (KMT) New Taipei office were brought in for questioning by prosecutors on Monday in connection with allegedly falsified signatures in a recall campaign.
They are Chen Chen-jung (陳貞容) and Chu Pei-yi (朱蓓儀), secretary-general and secretary of the KMT's New Taipei office in Banqiao District, and Lo Ta-yu (羅大宇), executive director of the party's Sanchong District office.

Raids were carried out on the New Taipei office and the residences of the three individuals on Monday morning, following the launch of an investigation into reports of falsified personal information on recall petitions targeting ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmakers.
Meanwhile, prosecutors in Keelung conducted a separate search of a KMT office on Monday in connection with another case involving allegedly fake signatures in a recall campaign targeting two DPP councilors -- Cheng Wen-ting (鄭文婷) and Jiho Tiun (張之豪) -- in the city.
