ROAD SAFETY/Lawmaker seeks national road standards act to improve pedestrian safety

A lawmaker from the opposition Kuomintang (KMT) on Sunday called for the drafting of new legislation that would standardize road and sidewalk design to better protect the safety of pedestrians.
