"Chen 43," the number of Taiwanese baseball legend Chin-Feng Chen (陳金鋒), is displayed at the San Manuel Stadium in downtown San Bernardino, California, on Thursday. Chen's number was permanently retired in recognition of his 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases during his first year with the then-San Bernardino Stampede in 1999. CNA photo May 9, 2025
