A doctor at Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital uses a probe to demonstrate a neurosurgical procedure known as deep brain stimulation (DBS) using a model human head in this undated photo. The hospital, which is the only medical institution in Taiwan to have adopted this new generation of technology, has so far completed 10 successful surgeries using this technique.
