PHOTO ESSAY/Ghastly ghouls, cute characters haunt Tianmu during All Hallows' Eve
Taipei, Oct. 28 (CNA) Adults and children alike flooded the streets of Tianmu in Taipei on Saturday to attend the suburb's annual Halloween "Trick-or-Treat" Festival, with many dressed to the nines as iconic characters from cartoons, TV shows, movies and literature.
The event started Friday evening, incorporating Japan's "Hyakki Yagyo" (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons) folklore into the traditionally horror-themed-celebration.
On Saturday, while adults donned a myriad of costumes, kids were commonly seen walking about trick-or-treating in their costumes, uniforms, or the likeness of their favorite fantasy and heroic characters.
