COST OF LIVING/Inflation sends January-September real earnings down 0.78%

In the wake of lingering inflationary pressure, real average earnings in Taiwan in the first nine months of this year - comprising regular wages and nonregular wages, such as bonuses and overtime pay - fell 0.78 percent from a year earlier, according to the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS).
