Wafer production at TSMC, UMC not disrupted by tropical storm

Wafer production at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC), the world's top two contract chip makers, remained normal Wednesday despite an approaching tropical storm.
