U.S. dollar closes higher on Taipei forex (update)

The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar Tuesday, gaining NT$0.012 to close at NT$29.514 on a further fund flight out of the country amid rising concerns over the debt crisis in Europe, dealers said.
