Death toll rises to 23 in southern Taiwan earthquake

The death toll in the magnitude 6.4 earthquake that hit southern Taiwan early Saturday morning had climbed to 23 as of 12:30 p.m. Sunday, with 121 still unaccounted for, while 282 had been rescued, according to statistics by the Tainan City government.
