Taipei, April 15 (CNA) Rapid weather changes are expected in the week ahead following the arrival of cold fronts, the Central Weather Bureau reported Sunday.
Chances of rain will increase across the island from Monday through Saturday, April 21, under the influence of two expected cold fronts, the bureau predicted.
It said northern, eastern and central Taiwan are most likely to be affected, where sporadic showers to heavy rainfalls are expected.
Meanwhile, warm temperatures are predicted in most areas, with day time mercury likely to range from 20-27 degrees Celsius in northern regions and 23-30 degrees in southern Taiwan.
The warm and humid weather pattern could also bring a greater chance of fog, the bureau cautioned, especially in western Taiwan and its outlying islands of Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu.
