Taiwan Coast Guard drives away Chinese boat near Dongsha with water cannon

A patrol vessel of Taiwan's Coast Guard Administration (CGA) used a water cannon to drive away a Chinese fishing boat that illegally entered waters near the Taiwan-controlled Dongsha Islands on Saturday, the agency said Monday. Located in the South China Sea, about 444 kilometers southwest of Taiwan, the Dongsha Islands are part of a designated marine national park. The CGA said no Chinese vessels remained in the area after the patrol vessel, the "Taichung," used a water cannon to forcefully expel the intruding boat.
