Southern, eastern Taiwan to be hit hard by storm: CWA

Eastern and southern Taiwan will be the areas hardest hit by Typhoon Koinu as it approaches the island, with extremely heavy rain expected overnight Wednesday, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) said.
