CORONAVIRUS/Taiwan reports 13,813 new COVID-19 cases, 62 deaths

Taipei, March 3 (CNA) Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported 13,813 new cases of COVID-19 and 62 deaths from the disease on Friday.

Among the new infections, 13,532 were domestic, with local cases increasing by 3 percent week over week, according to the CECC.

To date, Taiwan has recorded 10,083,351 COVID-19 infections and 18,072 deaths from the disease since the pandemic began in early 2020.

The CECC announced on Feb. 23 that it would stop releasing detailed daily information on new COVID-19 cases and deaths.
