Mercury forecast to plummet from Jan. 7

A strong cold air mass is forecast to reach Taiwan from Jan. 7, pushing the temperature down to 11-14 degrees Celsius in western and northeastern parts of the country, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said Saturday.
