Ex-AIT director granted permanent residency privilege in Taiwan

Taipei, Aug. 1 (CNA) Former American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) director William Stanton was granted permanent residency by Taiwan's government Wednesday to recognize his efforts in promoting bilateral ties.
