MediaTek Q2 net profit surges over 90% from Q1

MediaTek Inc., the largest integrated circuit designer in Taiwan, reported Wednesday a more-than 90 percent sequential increase in net profit for the second quarter of this year in the wake of a recovery in sales of consumer electronic devices.
