Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC, 台積電), the world's largest contract chip maker, invested more in fixed assets in the first half of 2017 than any other manufacturer listed on Taiwan's stock market, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
