Over 400 newborns in Taiwan found with hearing impairment

Since a national hearing check program on infants aged below three months began March 15, 2012, 211,608 Taiwanese newborns had been examined as of March 14 this year, 423 of whom were diagnosed as suffering from hearing impairment, according to official data.
