Hanoi, Sept. 18 (CNA) The Taiwan Education Center run by the Taiwanese chamber of commerce in central Vietnam has opened a Mandarin course for children of Taiwanese business people operating in that region.
The course was inaugurated on Sept. 15 with the attendance of more than 10 Taiwanese students, Wang Tsung-shi, secretary-general of the business organization, said on Tuesday. He described the weekly course as the first step in efforts to educate Taiwanese children living in central Vietnam.
Cheng Li-ying from Taiwan, who is teaching the course, said since each student in the class is different in their level of proficiency in Mandarin, teaching them will be done in accordance with their ability.
