Taipei, Nov. 8 (CNA) Taiwanese badminton player Chiu Pin-chian (邱品蒨) advanced to the women's singles final at the Korea Masters 2025 in Iksan, South Korea, after rallying past her Indonesian opponent on Saturday.

World No. 20 Chiu, who is also the top seed and highest-ranked female shuttler in Taiwan, defeated Indonesia's Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi 19-21, 21-19, 21-8 to reach her first-ever Badminton World Federation (BWF) Super 300 final.

She will face Vietnam's Nguyễn Thùy Linh on Sunday as she seeks her first title at a BWF "Super" event.

Chiu, who entered the semifinals after three straight-game wins, dropped the first game in her first meeting with Pratiwi. Trailing 15-16 in the second, she won four straight points to take control and force a deciding game.

In the final game, she pulled away with a nine-point run to seal a 21-8 victory and secure her place in the championship match.

Meanwhile, Taiwan's women's doubles pair Hsu Ya-ching (許雅晴) and Sung Yu-hsuan (宋祐媗) lost their semifinal to South Korea's Kim Sou-yeong and Lee Seo-jin on Saturday.

The 2025 Korea Masters runs from Tuesday to Sunday at the Wonkwang University Cultural and Sports Center with total prize money of US$240,000.
