Taipei, March 7 (CNA) Temperatures will rise significantly starting Sunday as the current cold air mass gradually weakens, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) has forecast.
Friday marks the coldest day of the current weather system, but despite lingering cold air, temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Saturday, with highs of 18-19 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan and 24-26 degrees in central and southern regions, CWA forecaster Li Ming-hsiang (李名翔) told CNA.
From Sunday onward, temperatures will climb further, with highs exceeding 25 degrees in most areas and nearing 30 degrees in central and southern Taiwan, Li said.
Skies will likely remain cloudy to sunny through Monday, when increasing moisture is expected to bring showers to northern and eastern Taiwan, as well as mountainous regions, in the following days, Li said.
