Owner to be fined after escaped pet gator causes alarm in New Taipei

The owner of a meter-long spectacled caiman that escaped its enclosure and was found in a residential alley in New Taipei will face a fine of up to NT$15,000 (US$473), the city's animal protection office said Monday.
