Five people, including a fire fighter, were killed and at least 207 others injured in the multiple gas explosions in the southern city of Kaohsiung, Premier Jiang Yi-huah said early Friday. Jaing, who rushed to the disaster response center to handle the aftermath of multiple gas explosions, also said that fire fighters from the neighboring Tainan City and Pingtung County, as well as hundreds of soldiers were called to help with the rescue efforts. President Ma Ying-jeou also ordered "full-gear rescue efforts."
