Vice President-elect Lai Ching-te (賴清德), government officials and the nation's academic circles have jointly expressed deep condolences over the death of Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert Chen Sheng-wei (陳昇瑋), dubbed the "godfather of Taiwan's data science," after his company announced Monday that he had died from a stroke aged 44.
