Japan's new de facto ambassador to Taiwan on Thursday reiterated that the Japanese government welcomes Taiwan's bid to join a Tokyo-led regional trade bloc, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), adding that the two trading partners will work closely in this regard.
